Celebrating our community engagement

We’ve always aspired to do more than just facilitating property transactions in the local area
As lifelong local residents, our community has been a part of our lives from childhood through to parenthood. We cherish our active role in enhancing community life, bringing neighbours together, and connecting diverse facets of Surbiton.
Each year we pick a worthy cause to support and raise money through a variety of activities.
What adds depth to this experience is the involvement of many of our clients and customers. Over the past decade, our journey has evolved from a desire to contribute to various initiatives. From organising events and dragon boat races to trivia nights and cycling adventures, it’s been a remarkable journey showcasing the power of shared purpose.
Below are just a few examples of our ongoing community participation…

Long Ditton infants school & Long Ditton St Marys junior school
Over the last ten years we have been very proud sponsors of both Long Ditton Infants and Long Ditton St Marys School. Both schools are an integral part of our local community and over the years we have enjoyed working with them to donate and raise money for these wonderful schools.
Humphrey & Brand have supported by taking part and help organise sponsored 100k bike rides, donated many prizes for the raffles, worked behind the bar serving drinks to parents at events such as quiz nights and Christmas fairs! We are also delighted to have recently donated hundreds of non-fiction books for their newly refurbished library. We very much look forward to continuing to work with and support both of these local fantastic schools.

Thames Ditton Sirens, ladies football team
We’re delighted to support the recently formed Thames Ditton Sirens ladies football team, where our very own Laura is a striker. Her favourite footballer is Thierry Henry who used to play for her beloved Arsenal.
As the Sirens prepare for the new 2023/2024 season, we wanted to look back at last year and their first time playing in the Surrey FA Flexi League. The ladies finished up with 7 wins from 7 games, scoring 18 goals in total and only conceding 2, what an achievement….oh and they won the League!!! A huge well done to the Golden Boot winner, Laura Humphrey who scored 8 of those goals in 5 matches!
The team would not be who they are today without the supporters behind the scenes helping them, from the socials to fixtures and treasury. And a huge special thanks to all the Thames Ditton Sirens for showing up, from beginners to League winners is a fantastic achievement for all involved!

Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan nurses are specialist nurses that work in different areas of cancer care and treatment. They work in hospitals, hospices and in the community.
Macmillan nurses can help with information about your cancer diagnosis, treatment, and help manage side effects. They offer emotional and practical support.
Though we say it ourselves we were “awesome” in our Dragon Boat race that raised lots of money for Macmillan Nurses. We were very proud to take part in the event and raise money helping people through very hard times.

Kingston Young Carers
Kingston Carers’ Network (KCN) is a local registered charity, providing independent information, advice, advocacy, and support to people who care for someone living in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. They support carers of all ages, including young carers aged 5 to 18.
We’re full of admiration for the work that Kingston Carers do – so this year we were delighted to be able to donate to the charity to enable them to take some of the members on an all-expenses paid trip to Chessington world of adventures.
