Lenders have started the year, racing to offer the best mortgage rates since the disastrous mini budget at the end of 2022. Rates had already fallen for 20 consecutive weeks to the end of 2023, but the start of 2024 has seen average five-year fixed mortgage drop below 5% with HSBC becoming the first to offer a deal at 3.94%. Some buyers delayed moving last year due to higher mortgage rates and the cost of living, but as rates drop and inflation comes down, many have decided to go ahead with a move in 2024.

We’re already registering buyers looking for a property in and around Surbiton in 2024 so if you’ve been thinking about a move, we can offer a free valuation and an excellent market appraisal to show you what you can expect for your sale. We recently celebrated our 15-year anniversary as your leading independent estate agent in Surbiton and are delighted that we receive so many 5* reviews from our happy customers. If you would like to experience our excellent service with your next move, we look forward to hearing from you.
